There is approximately 4.0 million sq. km of grassland in China!
Productive use of the grass land, could mean million of tonnes of BEEF made available!
We could further reduce the POPULATION of the rural farmland in the Inland Province!

Yes, Chinese Cowboys!

Already the approximately 500 million tonnes of grain production on that 1.5 million sq. km is the largest in the world!
Adding beef to the diet of the Chinese population would not be a big issue, noticing the popularity of beef noodle in Northern China.

It would mean to an end to the non-stop "official worry about food"!

China has already reached US$4,200 per capita income!
It's becoming a CONSUMER SOCIETY, food MUST not be an issue.
China will produce a satisfactory surplus margin of food henceforth!

cheerios!

You would have more foods by not feeding livestocks.

Livestocks costs more money. They need food, water, facilities, workers, health-care...etc. The government is gonna check you every now and then, especially when there's disease outbreak.

Planting crops is the cheapest and least worrying business.

I'm vegetarian. Welcome to my world. Say no to animal cruelty.

Free Range, numbnuts!
With the "global warming issue", grain production could "suddenly fall"
No vegetarians would have to eat MORE MEAT, so that Vegetarians like YOU, have Grain to survive!

What are you talking about? We talking about China or the rest of the world?

China has the technology and skills to turn their vast deserts into crop-yielding farms. They can even EXPORT produce to the rest of the world !

I say, no animal farming for sickos like you!

1 farming cows
2 farming rabbits
3 farming wheat

Why not channel water from the Yalu river into Inner Mongolia
that has huge land areas but lack water.
Yalu river is one good & reliable source of water
that China can tap onto.
And the distance from the Yalu river to Inner Mongolia is nearer
than from the Yangtze.
When water is channeled in, huge farms could be built,
there'll be plenty of grain & meat for China's consumption.
Please don't shoot, I'm just a babe.
