So you think those redshirts were choirboys chanting for alms?

In my humble opinion they were being manipulated by Thaksin. I don't recall the Chinese media refering to them as 'pro-democrac ...

Would that be because they are actually, "anti-democracy".

I mean if democracy is already in place.......................

Or is it that they are anarchists......................

I think some of you guys simply can't see the forest for the trees in Thaksin's plantation! Whether he was supported, then dropped by the U.S., or whether he got too cosy with China, these are irre ...

Absolute silence from the West when the Thai army cracked down on pro-democr@cy activists!

Imagine the UPROAR if China had done something like that!

Yes, therefore I am absolutely for one-party -CCP in China.

Wrong, USA openly behind the Thai unrest .  Which makes it worse!!
..

Exactly. USA is openly behind almost every Asian country or region, from TW, Myarma, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and so on.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was true.  History does not lie - and America's track record is very dirty.

LEROSEY is dead on.
"dirty" you say.
I'd say they're simply reaking havoc

It's nice to see what you really support.

  1. He fell foul of his compatriots who replaced him with the help of the military.

When <10% of a country's population, the oligarchs, the militarists, the powerful "replace" (your word) a twice democratially elected government, it's legitimate because it served (insert what you think)  interests, isn't it? People, other than the presently ruling clique, don't count anyhow and the number of Thais who were murdered by a trigger-happy army was nicely suppressed in western media (yes, it was and I have trustworthy informations), but who cares? It was all done in the name of democrazy and it served a good purpose, didn't it?

I'm not surprised to see double standards from you. Regime change is what you like, right?

  1. And a guy that steals the country's assets the way Thaksin did should be dethroned. The same happened to Chen Shuibian in Tiewan.

Are you naive or do you pretend to be naive?
Thaksin was corrupt but he didn't steal.  Why? He redistributed almost all the money to the impoverished parts of Thailand, the north and north-east.  This is the reason why the VAST majority of Thais want to have him back. This chapter of Thai history is not yet closed..........

If you read the western liberal media, you will hear no mention of USA's involvement with the Thai overthrow. I don't even think the Japanese, S. Korea, Singapore, HK and TW news will cover this.  Many HK people actually believe that the USA stands for freedom, and democracy.
