This is not happening to foreigners in China....

It does happen, but you are right, Beijing or Shanghai are much safer than Paris.
The robbery and safety in Paris is a big issue which concern everybody, not the Chinese only.

Thank you.

The very thing they were protesting about.

Happened in their midst.

You will note that seneca accused the Chinese of pickpocketing each other.

No indication regarding the ethny of the robbers.
Still...the Demonstrators attitude has been pretty violent and not so peaceful...
"Police tear-gassed the crowd after objects were thrown at them, prompting demonstrators to overturn cars and block traffic in the area for several hours."

.

And that is what I consider a fair and true statement. As for those immigrants, immigrating over there was their own free choice. The grass over the fence is not necessary always greener.

I would like to bring up the fact that demonstrations handled by minorities in France are often targeting the lack of rights and law improvement but not only for one specific community.
I find the Wenzhou demonstration very egoist and self-interested, focusing only on their community's safety, not trying to improve the whole society.
I have a bitter perception of it...

All the foreigners feel safer in Chinese big cities than in most western capitals.
Those who say they don't certainly come from small western cities.
