China has been industrializing rapidly since 1979.

It normally takes 35 years to become a modern industrial country.

Therefore,  China should have become a modern industrial country by 2015.

By 2015,   China will no longer be a developing country.   China will have become a rich industrial country such as Hong Kong,  Ta iwa n and South Korea.

By 2015,  the GDP per capita of China should be nearly two-thirds of the GDP per capita of the US,  and the real GDP of China should be 3 times bigger than the GDP of the US.

The question is,  how long would it take after 2015 for the GDP of China to reach the same level as the GDP per capita of Japan or the USA?

You best be trolling.

Since when does it take 35 years to become a modern industrial country? It took European countries hundreds of years and the bounty of the colonies to become industrial ...

I was referring specifically to those other countries,  Hong Kong,  Ta iwa n and South Korea,  as well as Japan.

It took all those countries 35 years to become modern industrial countries.

Did you know when Japan industrialized?   Did you know when South Korea industrialized?   Did you know when Ta iwa n industrialized?

Oh, is Ta iw an a country? When did that COUNTRY industrialize?

You do realise that their conditions are completely different to China's. They bear little to no similarity. The target is 2050, n ...

All right.

Do you know how long it took England and Belgium to industrialize in the nineteenth century?

England and Belgium industrialized between 1820 and 1850!

The official target of 2050 is completely ludicrous when you realize that China is already producing 600 million tonnes of steel a year.

China has already overtaken the level of industrialization of the former Soviet Union in 1940.

As a matter of fact,  China is now at the same level of industrialization as Japan in 1960,  or South Korea in 1980.

Why is China still refusing to admit officially that China will become a modern industrial nation by 2015,  much ealier than 2050?
