North Korea has to gain more inner stability if they have an outer enemy. And if you want to have the support from your population, then you must leave the impression of being wrongly accused and attacked. Being proud of having done a wrong, is rather counter-productive, when it comes to the own population.

Apart from this: German submarines are cruising relatively little in these waters, so the torpedo might have been fired by another nation.

Again: US bases in Korea coz the North invaded the South 1950 and an UN mission fought them back. The US bases are there to keep them North Koreans North the border.
Japan: They told you abo ...

Well, by that logic ANY country that had a war and won must be allowed to prop up their own military in the other countries land!  Does that mean Vietnam is allowed to put their military bases on US soil because they won the Vietnam war?  That would be great!

Why are you supporting a Country you do not belong to?  Is it simply because AMerica is a western country and you have an obvious bias being German?

WW2 happened a Looooong time ago.  It's time to let go.  Unless you feel that WW2 should keep being used as an excuse for unfair policies.  Maybe the Jews should just take control of Germany or put their bases on German soil for all the war crimes Germans have done to Jews?  If you want to keep clinging to WW2, maybe Germany can still pay more debt for what the Nazi's did.  The Japanese have certainly let go of those 2 atom bombs.

How does having an "outer enemy" and potential war make you gain more stability?

more inner stability. You can suppress inner tensions and unify your population by presenting them a common enemy. I don't know what's funny about this.

One can see clearly that you have never been to Germany. Otherwise you would know how much the memories of German wrongdoings are still present there, and how much Germany is aware of its responsibility due to its history.
Or why is denying the holocaust outlawed in Germany (which is criticised and ridiculised by many "patriotic" forumites!).
Or why was Germany very reluctant to take part in military missions? Partly because of a certain laziness, for sure. But partly because many Germans are very conscient of what a German army did before and mistrust some tendencies in their own country.

Of course one should overcome old hate and old gaps between former enemies. But what do your words have to do with what happened in the Korean war? The effects of it are still present...

Or did I miss something?
