The Indian economy grew by 8.6 percent during the quarter ended March 31, lifting the annual gross domestic product (GDP) for 2009-10 to 7.4 percent, official data released Monday showed. And Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said he expected the growth momentum to continue and the economy would expand at 8.5 percent in the current financial year.

It doesn't matter that we have to slog alot.. It doesn't matter about rat race ... If the result is so sweet...

If India and China grow like this 2.5 bllion people of the world will be benefited.
These 2 countries have potential to change the world arena in each and every stream ..

but the growth is only for few people? how about  the poor people whose are living BPO? they are also human being?Is this growth helpfull to them?if helpful them how much is for them?

Hey Karma, we could have done much better. We should be achieving double digit growth rate. The pace of  reforms are slowing down. The Congress seems like going back to its so called "glorious policy of socialism - Aam Admi" which had kept India poor from 1950 to 1995. We should change this things and accelerate the growth rate. Hope we grow from 10% GDP growth from 2012 which was predicted by Goldman sachs.  :)

Yes.. you are right .. What I heard from my expert friend is manmohan singh is under presser from other conservative congressmen including our FM.. He is not allowed to implement the free trade policies... Montek sngh too frustrated by congress policies even tough left parties are not in government there is still resistance...
