How do you think about China's globla influence in recent years? I'd rather China doesn't play too many roles in international community and focus on its economic development instead. Many affluent countries, don't raise their voices in every chance but nobody denies that their people have a very good life. I hope China will be that kind of nation in the future, rather than being a power like the US. It's the No. 1 in the world, but how many people love it means how many people hates it as well. Don't be the target in the world.

Understand China better

china daily

Chinese people are generally seen as being sensitive about their reputation, or "face".

So it is understandable that many Chinese people feel happy when a poll sponsored by British media agency BBC finds China's international image improving.

The positive result of the poll, which was revealed on Monday, can serve as a barometer to the rising role China is playing in the international arena. It is heartening to see more people recognizing China as a responsible player in world affairs and an important force for world peace and development.

Still, the poll is by no means a comprehensive and fair judgment on the country's overall achievements at home and abroad.

In a world where Western media still play a dominant role in shaping public opinion, the international community has long been exposed to assorted views and attitudes toward China. These are unsuitably seasoned with misunderstanding, misinterpretation or even bias and enmity.

The fact that many Americans and Europeans polled still hold negative views toward China is a case in point. No matter what China has done to shore up the world economy last year, a number of Westerners still felt unimpressed.

Some may have mixed feelings toward China's rising economic clout. That is why we have heard many more unfriendly remarks about the country - even a revival of the "China threat" theory - from abroad recently.

As mutual understanding deepens, public opinion will change with the times. What will not change is China's determination to continue pressing ahead for the benefit of its people and the world at large.

Little bit simplifiying here.

The Influence of the Al Jazeera Network on just these very western media shows clearly,
how a nonwestern Media can easily take up with and have its change on the media influence.

The largely Western Media Influence, becomes, when Al-Jazeera as an equally important Network is taken into Consideration and included, what: Dominance of free Media.

At the same time, their free, balanced Reports have also helped to increase the Reputation of Islam.

So you want your own Media to be taken seriously, want it to become influacial and change the Pattern of Media Dominance:

Take the Conclusions from the Case I provided.

Al-Jazeera is not a serious Islamic media station in every word of its name as much as Mac Donald though operated by a100% Chinese crew and in China sells western fast food.

not serious ISLAMIC, indeed.
But truly musl im, and eventually the most unbiased station around.

Wathed their Day special regarding Palistine conflict,
when announced, afraid they would seriously overestimate their ability for objective and ubiased reports and would finally fail in this discipline.

In the End it was praise by both muslim and jewish Organizations for the unbiased and high quality Special.

Even you say not "ISLAMIC",
you cannot deny it is not western.
And they changed the Pattern of western media, too.
I would say, to the better.

Showed it is possible, if you are able to be taken seriously, and not as a puppet of a one parties PR.

And their way to do so: Do I really need to mention?
