First the US system has more advanced sensors.  sometimes they are even redundant.
After the sensors gather the information it would display them on screen but it also do alot of information processing  (digital signal processing )such as

l Fast Fourier Transform, Gaussian analysis, Normalization, standard deviation, noise filtering, matrix multiplication,  convolution, correlation with information store in the server.

That's why you see US system are so much more complicated than PLA's .

Granted many of the infomration on the US is redundant, and unneeded. But it's this type of redundance that give the system the "robustness"      The chance of missing detection or misjudging is much reduced due signifcant of information.

I have seen the information display on the PLA system, they are simple.   Mostly for display, and few parameter with few  signal processing,

In order to catch up,,  PLA has to increase the complexties of their equipment with more sensors and processing needed.

to be frank

the time proven way to advance military tech is "incidents", "conflicts" or outright wars

I'm hoping to get to 75 without any conflict, mind you

PLA  just need to upgrade its systems more often, and China as a whole needs to keep upgrading its overall industrial base.

You're not wrong BUT, without conflict, as lebeast says, how can you know if the system(s) work properly or whether those reduncancies are robust enough?
