If it cannot design  something like B-2 stealth bomber then China at least needs to design a supersonic strategic bomber like  B-1 Lancer or the Blackjack.

They keep spinning that old H-6 seriers, that's some old frame.  Neither stealth nor capable of supersonic flight.

Now H-6K in the series ?   They need to junk that and get a new plane.

stop playing with same old frame again and again.

No point having many planes which can be easily shot down.  Also hard to replace pilots.

Better go the way of stealth.  Stealth bombers, fighter planes and stealth drones.  Compact, high-powered, accurate, radar-invisible drones guided by sharp sat-imaging systems. Here, numerical superiority is a key factor.  If inventory of such stealth drones is big but unknown, that fact of an unknown in the minds of potential adversaries can be a powerful deterrent.  One must move from the conviction that numerical superority in men is sufficient;  in these days of carpet bombing and barrel output rates, it is suicide.  Best is numerical superiority of machine-based weaponry.

However stealth is currently not entirely undetectable. Maybe next generation stealths can. Even so, EMP interference of the electronics may nullify drone attacks (or counterattacks).

Nonetheless the unknown can bring fear.  And fear can be the best deterrence - but so long as diplomacy prevents fear from triggering preemptive strikes first.

As tradervic has observed, any conflicts these days will be limited, geographically localized and not protracted.  The two interesting cases are the israeli back encirclement in their second war and the amphibious back counterstrike n the korean war.  Sharp strategy will remain useful to create upsets.

Antimatter, China needs to spend hard to earn money on wormonger's toys, same as you need another hole on your derriere.
Every one of those cyber-programs you toss at the Chinese taxpayers on this forum, is nothing but a social setback for the Chinese People.
Antimatter, your brain needs rewiring. Next time you drive by an university, sign up for one semester. Introduction to micro and macro economics. That will do it. You'll come out like new.

Drones cannot carry to many munitions.   I think something like the Tu-22M Backfire come in handy,  especially in the naval conflict with Japan.   The bomber would get near the aegis fleet but outside its SAM.    Then unload whole bunch of Antiship missiles on the fleet.

If the bombers attack in group coupled with surface fleet and subs would prove potent against the Japanese or US naval fleet.

Come on , you should know that  US has pumped in so much money into the industrial military complex.

Domestic weapons creates jobs in the country. R&D for engineers and scientists!
