I'm so impressed with the students in the China universities here.

One of the things that strikes me is that how many students are held in one dorm without fighting or conflicts. 8 girls in one  ...

Many minor  live alone in US,they used to.In Chinese there are so many people however, there is little space to live not only in city but in country, even though there is much more space than citizen.Usually Chinese minor like to sleep with parents, they feel happy and safety.Yes??

So Chinese students are used to live together and show some private issues to their apartment-mate and classmate. However it would be a nightmare for US's children.

Am I right?

it's normal to have 6 boys living in a same dorm room.

But imagine when one of them just take off the shoes and the acidic smell of the socks run throughout the room.

Ahh , when you in senior, how many mates are in dorm? Most of them hire house outside with girlfriend...It is truth...

I'm an American.

I am a man.

Born and raised in Hawaii and schooled at the University there (Go Warriors!)

Now teaching English in China to university students (wonderful I might add)

I did not start this post to start an argument between cultures. It is just what I noticed here which I thought is amusing.

We were 6 persons in one dormitory when we were studying in universtiy.
our condition was not matched with nowaday's dorm. no air condition, no heating.... But I miss that life.

We wash our clo ...

Men in one dorm is one thing.

As a group men tend to be more "understanding" and tolerant.

I'm talking about "girls" who live in close quarters for an extended period of time.

I do not think prisons put that many girls in one room without asking for trouble.
