That's more culture related than sound.

What do you think of the sound of each language?

U should open a new thread with this question ....

I don't know. It may turn in to a nationalistic flame fest.

Have you seen the "He is not Indian" thread in which communist sec decided that since some languages have a common origin all the countries that speak them must hate china?

French language reminds me of expensive perfume, champagne, and fashion, which I don't have money to buy.

German language reminds me of blue Danube, philosophers, classic musicans like Beethoven ...

The tough and complex German grammar reminds me of their perseverant  national character, and the advanced precision apparatus. I consider tough German grammar as a complex game. Easy game is boring.

They rebuilt themselves very quickly after WWII. Unlike Japan, which still denies their war crimes of WWII now and then, Germany bravely admits the mistakes they made, and goes forward relentlessly.

what make you sound like that  ?
many foreign told me that about french language and i always surprised about this remark.

French plays lightly on words (fluidity) and can be spoken with half a breath, compared to many of the other languages I have listened to. The only one I have heard that even comes close..... is the one that Tolkien created for the elves :).

You're the one who's dumb.
Wanzheli said he wants to improve his job prospects in China.

I'd agree with Longzhou, add a few languages to your bag.

I think that if Wanzheli learned French ...

Merci beaucoup ! Emu!

You are one of the people who LISTEN to other people.
My purpose of learning french is very clear: to improve my job prospects in China and I am Chinese. There are too many Chinese with good English though I am one of them.

Besides, my company has business in Afirica and we usually have guests who can only speak French. So it is also out of practical needs to pick up this difficult language.
