good idea to buy anything of material worth

with the paper

using it as collateral against loans seems clever, as it is indirect, there is no immediate sell off

chinese businessmen are the sharpest knives in the drawer

Just a note: the HUMMER is not the same as the similar-looking Humvee, the military vehicle. HUMMER produces cars that look like the military vehicle to satisfy the demand for those vehicles in the civilian market, which started after the first Gulf War brought them into prominence. They really have little in common save their looks.

The present day Hummer may eventually become a dinosaur, but it still has some staying power left to it.  Morever, it has a very high profile branding which could be worth a lot to launch new vehicle products.

From 1983. AM General Corporation (Formerly AMC) began making the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV pronounced  Hum-Vee,) for military use

in the late 80's they became very popular with civilians, and in 1990 two matching white Hum-Vees were driven from London to Beijing, and grew in populariity even more during the gulf war a year later

from 1992-1998 AM General Corporation produced a civilian version of the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Hum-Vee), known as the Hummer H1

The HMMWV and the Hummer H1 are Identical

All Hummer H1s and HMMWVs come off the same AM General assembly line, and then Hummer H1s get painted and finished in a separate building across the parking lot for civilian use

in 1998 AM General sold the brand "Hummer" to General Motors (GM)

General motors then introduced the H2 and H3 Hummers, which are nothing like the original M998 HMMWV's and Hummer H1

The Hummer H2's and Hummer H3's are GM Vehicles, built to the GM specifications of other GM 4x4 vehicles, such as the Blazer,  in GM factories,

GM discontinued the Hummer H1 in '06

leaving us with only the fake, crappy GM H2's and H3's

China should re-instate the Hummer H1 Production in AM General Factories

but.. its too late.

the GM Brand name "hummer H2 and H3" is already worthless

as they are worthless as vehicles
