Of course he knew. Even "plausible deniability" is not achieved in this case.

Worse Than Benedict Arnold

Benedict Arnold just turned over one city, and then gave up and faded into ignominy.  Da-Lie (his name tells it all) the turncoat continued to plot his impossible tilt at the windmill, and for decades took blood money from the faithless Yanks to plague his mother country.  Why do good people die young and such human trash such as the Da-Lie live and live to spread more lies, funded by the CIA?

How Much More Feudal

How much more feudal can you be - apart from personally OWNING serfs?

Da-Lie is the ONLY religious leader on earth that has personally owned serfs.  And the jerk has never apologized for it.   He just continues to lie with his marketing mumbo jumbo written by American New Age ghostwriters.

For the real article, see the up and coming Panchen Lama, who surprised the world pleasantly with his teachings in English of real Tibetan Buddhism, not the new age mumbo jumbo from Dharamsala.  Panchen is going to be key force in Tibetan Buddhism for the next 20 years.

Hey Dude,

It is just a point of view.

Well luckily I have not used either the word 'feudal' or 'terrorist'. That is the territory of the writers stance.  :)

If I understand the word 'feudal' as in 'feudalism', it represents those who are landowners and allow tenancy for others to work it.

Isn't that what happened ?

Feudal Involved Serfs

And that was exactly what the misguided local administration of the Da-Lie had for over 400 years, through all of his 14 incarnations.   In all of those 14 incarnations Da-Lie personally owned serfs, and so did his cohorts.  It is this serf owning caste that high tailed to Dharamsala when the practice was outlawed when the Tibetan SAR was liberated.  The group has never given up on the hope of establishing Da-Lie's serf owning theocracy again in Tibet.

Fat chance.

I think you have to apply Newton's Laws to China and Tbet.

When an overwhelming force...........................................

Then make the constructs that see the best for the majority.

Whoa!  A crude kind of democracy.

As for the politics in Tbet, I think you have to remember that a democracy (US) who's people's knew nothing of their actions.

Were directly involved in the unfolding events, and now play the 'good guy' while people died. Need I mention Nam.

They died for nothing.

Better to follow Newton's Laws and see what happens.

Remember Stalin's laws of statistics.

Also maybe (with respect) question why there was no unequivocal vocalism about the situation in 1950.

Cheers

There's No Pleasin' Some

Had the Chinese been 1/2 as "thorough" as our Western friends' ancestors all over the world in dealing with natives and native cultures and native religions, there'd be no Tibetan problems today.

WHY these blackhearted, foul breathed Western jerks feel they are qualified to opine on how China deals with Tibet, is truly baffling.
