Well, by and large the article is fair. There are some 'undertones' but it's not the usual ranting. G y a n c a i n   N o r b u  is the rising star of T. Buddhism. He is an intelligent and well educated young man.  At the recent worldwide Buddhist conference that took part in  Mainland China and on the island across the Straits he impressed his audience.

Your thread is about BBC bias.

Then I questioned whether they have bias in other occassion.

This is totally relevant. You fool.

Thankyou Satsu, for your sensible comment.

I don't find this particular BBC report out of the ordinary in terms of perceived "bias".

It is reporting the facts and the opinions of others.

Maybe the village idiot (Northwest) should take note!

'...although many Tibetans say he is a political prisoner'

Well, by and large the article is fair, but the last statement reveals the author's biased point of view.

I wonder whom were interviewed by the author and how many is 'many'.

If the author wrote '...though I'd say he's a political prisoner', that would be an 'fair' statement.

BBC stated that "many Tibetans say he is a political prisoner. "

But BBC at the same time didn't stated that "many Chinese say DL is a C!A puppet".

Is this fair?
