Look at the Science

The records that Phelps broke were done with nanotechnology and biophysics.  Those gold medals were AUGMENTED and not from pure human efforts.

You need to look at the Time article (google TIME HIGH_TECH SWIMSUIT WIN MEDAL) of August, on how the suit (Phelps wears only the lower half, but that's the important half) adds buoyancy and eliminates drag.  It is a scientific fact that a swimmer with a well fitted slippery suit WILL swim faster.

The suit, or at least the constant fitting and retailoring, was never available to all of the swimmers.

The Olympics is a test of human power and will.  It is not and should not be a test of nanotechnology or who can put out a more slippery suit. The Phelps 8 medals are without honor.   Mark Spitz remains the last great American swimmer.

Unless you can prove that Bolt took drugs or was wearing augmented shoes, he is miles ahead of Phelps.

I agree that, I think most people do.

Mark Spitz remains the last great American swimmer.

Unless you can prove that Bolt took drugs or was wearing augmented shoes, he is miles ahead of Phelps.

Augmented by pure talent and the will to succeed, unlike some tax-evading fraudsters here.

Can't Counter the Facts

Then Boring switches to ad hominem attacks totally unrelated to the topic.

"Augmented by pure talent and the will to succeed,  . . . ."

Perhaps.  But not without the help of nanotechnology and biophysics, and constant refitting and retailoring of the slippery suits, not generally available to the other swimmers in the race.

In other words, totally without honor.

It's funny that you accuse me of ad hominem attacks while engaging in them.

If there were a problem with the suits, the regulatory body would have banned them. They have banned suits before and they, not you, set the rules.

It is Certainly True

It is certainly true that when and if enough was paid, the officials will continue to let the Yanks do whatever they want.

Olympics of the dueling slipperies, coming up in 2012 in London.

Some folks know no shame even if shame bites them on their fat arses.
