China's benchmark stock index has lost more than 50 percent since peaking in mid-October due to a confluence of concerns over inflation, economic slowdown, tight monetary policy,  a bigger supply of shares. Do you think the government should intervene to bolster investors' confidence?

The Money Will Always Be There

50% drop means that it is still over 100% up from 2001.  Let it drop some more to take out the American majors first. There is no reason for Bank of America to make tens of billions for doing nothing.

No, the government should keep out of the market. I don't see any alarming signs. Going south is the trend on all stock exchanges. Best is to sit it out and be patient.
