Far-right assaults are on the rise in Germany.

The long list of racially motivated assaults in Germany has just got longer with the beating and stabbing of a Ghanaian man caught speaking English outside a night club in an eastern town on Friday night.

An African man was beaten and stabbed by three German teenagers outside a nightclub in the latest of a long series of racist attacks in eastern Germany.

Freedom is usually defined in negative terms: you are not prohibited to undertake an action and no action is taken against you. Maximal freedom is the highest number of actions available to all individuals such that no other system has a higher number of available freedoms without having an equally high number of infringements or more.

Interesting

A very good analogy.

Many people can actually feel free in a repressive society and others confined in a liberal society.

Canadianbob, (not in this thread) stated that standing outside of government buildings and shouting out to politicians,  'w*anker' is freedom.  An extra action that some people might enjoy or even find pointless and banal.

But a permitted action all the same.

Expatter,

The reason for that is simple: if you don't have any interest in exercising some freedom, you generally don't care about it, either. That's why so few people stand up for the freedom's of others like they do for their own. That people can be selfish doesn't give us ground for equivocation.

Point?

Well our racist German forum members want to point out that there is "freedom" in the west, especially in Germany.
I just wanted to show that this so-called "freedom" doesn't apply to foreigners there as they are usually attacked or abused in many places.
Yet, crazy pinnoy and seneca, the master racist, would have you believe otherwise.

These morons makes me sick!
They come preaching about "freedom" when they cannot even promise to foreigners at home!
