Augustus,

I didn't give a rationale. I demanded that you account for separations in which a powerful foreign state does not sponsor. I'm holding you to account for why your model--i.e., state sponsorship--fails to account for nearly all separations.

Northern Ireland doesn't want to separate from Britain. Northern Ireland is the Protestant enclave on Ireland, around the center of British rule for centuries. It is the rest of Ireland that claims Northern Ireland as their patrimony.

And I'm still waiting for why you haven't discussed the Kurds?

Corsica was not , is not and will NOT be part of  France!!!

Corsicans' own language has become an illegal language in its own soil,
ever since France annexed this island.

How can France accuse China of destroying Tibetan langguage and culture
while Corsicans, under France control, has to forget their own language and
are forced to speak French?

Tibet has TV broadcast, radio broadcast, newspapers, university, schools all
using Tibetan language.   Can France do the same in Corsica?

French government  would  treat Dalai Lama the same way they treat Corsicans,
if Dalai Lama lived on Corsica.

That is,  don't speak Tibetan,  speak French.   That's how minorities are treated in France.

Northern Ireland doesn't want to separate from Britain? Do you bet me again? You are kidding.  What are the  nationalists there doing? I BET YOU they are not rehearsing Shakespeare.
Regarding the Kurds, the U. S. has already controlled Iraq. You should know why the answer is so simple if your mind is not that simple.

You need read my words carefully . I do not want to answer the same question for too many times.
