Hmmmm. I've had a change of opinion on the execution of the traitor and terrorist Tenzin Gyatso.

The assistance graciously provided to send him to his next life as a dung beetle, should not be done on China soil. Better for it to be done someplace more fitting...say some nondescript and not locatable on a map, island, somewhere south of Tierra del Fuego.

The Indian Empire is as ancient as China.

They are lining up as the next Big Power.

That's probably a undeniable "reasoning"......

but historical and cultural burdens, and bi ...

Agreed, but don't they value their ties with China??
Isn't China going to be their largest trading partner overtaking USA anytime soon??

how do big powers react to each other?
but they might see this as an opportunity to build Indian strength!

I am sure, they are thinking about it.

welcoming back the Dalai Lama "should be an option".......

afterall, he must be a Chinese citizen in autonomous region of Tibet.
and as he is a Tibetan King, customs is, we must pay respect and honour on such a important person.

and yes, he chose "self exile"....
and now probably a "puppet" of other big powers.
but, i can see, he always preach peace and goodwill.

Not too bad, if the propaganda is accurate.

I am curious.
How many of the peeps in exile in India mentioned above were born in Tbt.
Especially as life expectancy was only 33.5 years or so in 1959.
Are they not now just Indians of Tbtan extraction?
Do they have Tbtan passports or will they protest to get them?
Does that mean that the DL is the only indigenous exile left?
Wow!  To be so healthy and live long enough to become French.

Expatter,

In an interview that I saw on TV yesterday a group of  four young Tbts (in Delhi) was asked by the reporter what they would do if the DL's demands were fulfilled. Would they stay in India or return to Tb? Three of them said that they consider India their homeland and that they have no intention to resettle. The fourth told the reporter that he would accompany his old monther to TB and once she has settled over there would return to India and stay and live there.

This tells something about the real feeling of the young generation of exiled Tb. All they want is that China is thrown out of Tb so that DL and/or another power can fill the vacuum. This again is evidence that this is a power game and has nothing to do with HR.
