你考虑得怎么样了?  -- "So what's the deal?"

Note that here you don't need to translate the words "You" or "consider" or even "how"

A straight translation would be "How are you considering this matter?"  which would be very awkward if used in spoken English.

When translating into spoken English, the more important element to consider is common usage.

Here the word "So" in "So what's the deal?" is very important because it indicates that the questioner assumes that the questionee had put some thoughts to the matter under consideration.

Yes you're right, and I had considered using "goodwill" to connote the "good feelings" mentioned above.

However, that means one more word has to be added before goodwill as in:

"Residual goodwill outlasts the failed deal."

If you leave out the word "Residual" and simply say "Goodwill outlasts failed deals" the sentence sounds awkward.  People would ask "what goodwill"?

Using the word "Friendship" at the beginning of the sentence saves the word "Residual."

The best, most accurate version is therefore "Residual goodwill outlasts the failed deal."

The shortest version is "Friendship outlasts the failed deal."

"So what's the deal?" -- commonest.

The word "So" is essential as it implies the person questioned has thought about it.

Second commonest is:

"So what are your thoughts on this?"
