ill-considered words uttered in a fit of anger

Perfect meaning, but a bit too long and complicated for natural speech. It depends on if she's writing a story or talking.
In casual conversation we could say:

- She didn't mean it, she was just mad.
- She said that in the heat of the moment, don't take it seriously.
- That was just her anger talking, don't take it seriously.

"in the heat of the moment" - it can refer to words or behavior that happen while someone is angry or during an argument or even during something like... like sex or some exciting thing, if you'd do or say something you wouldn't normally say if you could think straight.
I am not rich.  :L
