感觉jarry的英文比中文好啊...

学习英文18年,学习中文的年头估计长不了多少吧...呵呵,开个玩笑。

真实感想:从上面一些讨论感觉到,很多国内学英文的有个错觉,即认为读写水平较易于达到很高,只是听说没法提高。其实,我们常说的“听说读写”四字顺序并非胡乱排定的。对于任何一门语言,听最容易(听懂了才能学着说),写最难(读通了方能照样写——且不提创作写),这是定律。想想各自小时候怎么过来的?

哪些以为自己读写水平高但没法听说的,不妨试写一个稿子投给英文报刊。十有八九立马显形。自己可以先评估一下哪儿可能接受?有点水平的,自己这关应该过不了。连这点水平都没有,那恐怕也没法理解上述道理了,算我白说。

这么急着“超英赶美”,可不是好事情呀。这么大的一个话题,非得要“紧急讨论”,看来楼主太急功近利了。
学习语言说大一点是"the  whole person"的问题,是一个人知识体系、文化储备、情感体验与凝升、道德与价值观的培育与提升等总的体现,是一辈子的工程。当然,一般的交流包涵相对狭窄些(但也不是完全脱离以上因素),口语水平的高低,也得看你用什么标准去衡量。若要论口音纯正、词汇(俚语、新词等)运用的地道、时髦,以英语为母语的人当然占优势。不用去看英语为母语的国家了,就说普通话吧,北方人比南方人就占了优势,即使是北方,地方词汇也因地而异、层出不穷,说得“外省人”目睁口呆,但这些东西,似乎不是人们最崇尚的。我不是排斥俚语,即使在文学里面,俚语也有它的价值。俚语,只是大众文化的一部分而已,而大众文化也只是民族文化的一个部分。

同样,学英语也应该避免这样一个误区:最时髦的New York Street Talk就是最棒、最纯正的英语。持这种观点的人,连纽约人都会笑话你的。

楼主反复抱怨缺乏语言环境,在这个地方却没怎么见你说英文,不是白白浪费这个“语境”吗?我认为学好英文,少点谈英文,多说点英文。Talk in English. Don't talk about English. Someday, you will be amazed by your ability to talk, in English of course, a little bit about English.
