Local residents hold elegiac banners on the roadside while waiting for hearses of Luo Haiwen, Luo Changming and Zhou Jinghua, all electricians who died while working to restore power supply cut off by heavy snow, in Changsha, Central China's Hunan Province, January 30, 2008. The electricians were killed falling from a collapsed power pylon on January 26. They were later recognized by the provincial government as martyrs.

As the folks at the IBEW say...

"God for the serenity to accept things we cannot change, and ask God for the courage to change things that can be changed."

If anything is to be taken from these deaths - it should be lessons learned so that in the future, there is no death in a similar scenario.

I have seen the news on TV. I respect them but I hate the Hunan government. How bad the basic construction supply they have. When disaster come, all the constructions are so fragile. What they do everyday in the office?!
