我不坚持所有中国公司店铺最好都用拼音来标识其英文品牌. 到底应该采纳拼音法还是英文翻译法, 主要应根据这两种方法在特定条件下的利弊来判断. 无论如何, 公司品牌应该容易诵读又不容易让人产生歧义。 从发音的角度上说:GOU BU LI 是很容易念的拼音, 从意义上说外国人不明白其含义当然也不会追究其歧义(除非是外国朋友遇见了蹩脚的翻译或导游, 硬把GOU和狗这个动物联系起来)。 而GO BELIEVE从发音上说当然容易念, 但是从内涵上说,容易产生歧义,英文是人家的母语, 当然会以此谈笑了。 另外还有人说, GO BELIEVE和狗不理的发音很像, 我认为和好的内涵比,发音是不那么重要的,普通外国人识别你这个品牌时根本就不需要联想你的汉语名称,所以带不来多少好处。 反之,如果能取个英文名字,内涵好,发音也漂亮,又和中文品牌名念法接近(接近即可,不必要求一致),当然可以考虑一下了。
外国人拼汉语拼音时,他们最感头疼是拼由“J(鸡)”,“Q(其)”,“X(西)”拼出来的音, 我以为有这三个音的店名,如“全家巷(此名系自撰)”真应该考虑是否取个英文名了。

国家还应该保护注册了英文品牌的企业的拼音品牌的专利性(尤其是老字号)。 我认为这很重要。

Gou Bu Li is much better.

"Go Believe" is ridiculous, and must have been conjured up by someone not too familiar with the English language.
The proposer probably wanted to sound like he knows a word or two of English, but this translation only serves to make him appear amaterurish.
