I beg to differ. Taiwan doesn't leave away from its motherland but the mainland, or to be more exact, it is just no ruled by the communist . It is under control by Chinese too and it isn't like Hong Kong, which was being reigned by the British so it is suitable to say that Hong Kong returns to its motherland.

By the way, personally I think , '" be going to " seems better than " will" , that hints Tainwan undoubtedly is going to be reunited with the mainland.  I do NOT hope China is to be separated no matter who will hold  sway over  China in the future.
