在国外dumpling就是饺子, 不是ravioli, stuffing常用在火鸡身上

In many European countries, 馄饨is called wonton, or wantan , or wanton, or wuntun.

Ravioli 是馄饨,包法非常接近馄饨,跟饺子差老鼻子去了。在香港,馄饨(云吞)已经统一译为wonton了,而饺子往往就是dumplings(因为是北方的东西,在香港并不太普遍),偶尔译为gyoza(日本话)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiaozi)。部分原因在于广东话里面的饺子太难拼写了:gau dzee. 怎么拼?kautse?
在西方,知道Zen Buddhism的人多于知道Chan Buddhism的人。
所以我倡议:跟外国人交流,一定要坚持用jiaozi, jiaozi, jiaozi,叫他们说,反复说,直到学会,他们会非常高兴。huntun, huntun, huntun同理。
而说到宗教,绝不要用Zen Buddhism,坚持说Chan Buddhism.原因很简单,馄饨饺子是中国原创,禅宗发轫于中国,没有道理跟外国人用其他国家的人学咱们的东西所说的近似音,目的就是图个方便。

就像老外先是在中国了解了佛教,知道佛祖名叫释迦牟尼。后来他了解到,在佛祖老家,他的名字叫sakyamuni或shakyamuni,那他在印度一定会用shakyamuni。这是很公平的事儿。
