As of 2006, 75.2% of Singapore's population are Chinese. Singapore is far away from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and yet there are so many Chinese in Singapore. Mandarin Chinese is even an official language in Singapore. Their president Lee Hsien Loong has Chinese ancestry.

Since three quarters of the population are Chinese, their president holds Chinese ancestry, and Mandarin Chinese being one of four official languages. Is Singapore considered a Chinese country?

I'm not suggesting that we should invade Singapore or ask them to unite with us.
