honestly, human beings are human beings. They are alike, no matter where they come from, either within or without china. When they have business interest from each other, they will go quite close. When not, they are so cold to you.
How fool I am to think that foreign friends are nice to hang out. But it is so hard to be within their circle.

Yes, people are people...there are friendly people and there are not so friendly people...breaking into a social circle can be difficult at times with any nationality...foreigners are just people...some people are practical and some are sentimental...If you run into a practical foreigner in China, the likelyhood that this "practical" foreigner is also a "practical" person in his /her own country.

Hahahahha...I was told once that  "A skunk is a skunk no matter where it goes"...how true this statement is?.:)

I find it funny to visualize an American skunk showing up in China....or a Canadian skunk showing up in the states....or a Chinese skunk showing up in the states....hahahahahhaha...still a skunk!:)

Have you think about yourself? Why you want to join the foreign circle? You just want to get some benift from them too, such as enhancing humanrelations of foreign, business chance and so on.
So don't blame them, let's treat it as normal!

The best way is not to break into their circle...but make them beg you to join their circle...first, you have to make yourself valuable to them...they have to want you...not the other way around...you have to have something to offer!...so , what do you have to offer beside your friendship...they may not need your friendship because they already have their own circle of friends...their needs are pretty well met!

that is not smart.
as thunderbird has mentioned above, they have their own social circle, they are pretty well met, they needn't a stranger to break into their well organized or run social circle, unless you have sth to offer ,which can draw the attention.
