I don't agree with "Chinese sake", rainbow.  Maybe you can  "nickname"/dub it this way, but in a strict sense, they are really two different concepts. After raking in laoxiang's expert acumen, I tend to agree with "rice liquor" . Why sticky rice? isn't that sort of thing a Hakka food? I wouldn't call that liquor, wine, etc. because it is hardly alcoholic.
If winter comes, can spring be frozen ahead?

Househusband, thanks for your comment! Sorry, I wouldn't like to use my head any more today. I have been accompanying my client to visit factories for 5 days in a run. Tired...I'll be back tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

By the way, Happy May 1st Holiday to you guys, no matter you observe it or not.

Happy May Day. I don't "observe it", but I enjoy it, very much!

Hi:

Here is what I found with Google:

Results 1 - 100 of about 30,400 for "Chinese rice wine". (0.22 seconds)
Results 1 - 100 of about 941 for "Chinese sake". (0.52 seconds)

That is, 1 out of 33 people would say "Chinese sake", the rest 32 would say "Chinese rice wine"

But, most of all,  everyone is free to choose the one he/she likes to use.  Just for your information.
