From the small extract that we have, I suspect that it is a comedy, where Mausolus is a either a  sheep or a goat. His sister is a shepherdess, but after the sheep dies, (and is eaten), his sister misses herding him to the pasture every day. At the end of the modern play, she probably says "Alas! Too late have I realized that an empty heart is worse than an empty stomach."

This is just a guess, don't take my version as the final one.
