People keep on saying that! If you believe that then you are being misled by your government.

Come on be real. Lets take the UK as an example. If you were to try to state your views, this is ...

How about you get real?

In the UK, the expression of such views will not get you beaten up and imprisoned. Do you think anyone in mainland China has the freedom to criticise and condemn the government that, say, these al-Ghurabba protesters have in the UK?

Let me ask you this:

After all the protests, the rallies, and demonstrations in say, UK and US, what really has been achieved besides the anger is slightly vented?

In fact, I have argued that's the smartest form of population control. Let people vent their anger and waste their creative energy in demonstrations and be forgotten. And if rallies and demonstrations get too severe and disrupt "normal" life, common people (who need to work) will come to despise the demonstrators, who in actual fact just (barely) manage assuge their illusions of a fair and just world.

Western "democracies"... what a joke.

OK, demonstrations do have their uses. but if you use the ability to march and rally as an indicator of "freedom", you are grossly delusional and r******.

"In China the people are more free in daily life without the police state breathing down their neck. I don’t see much difference at all. For now, give me the current, very intelligent, Chinese leadership anytime."

If people were happy with their current leadership, there would obviously be no need to restrict their freedom.

One must always be wary of foreign bad elements that is paid by foreign power in order to destabilize China and does not represent the good people of China. These bad elements do not deserve freedom per se.
