What is the women's status today?Lower and higher? [Copy link] 中文

Nowadays,  news, comments and articles featuring porn, sex, naked women are seen in books, newspaper even in some public internet webpage. Do you think it implies that women's status are lower than before.

dude, much much higher than before 1978

say, many boys in Beijing, and in my office, do the cooking and driving for their wives. as to more female skin exposure in the mass media, it says chinese women are more brave and out-going in displaying their physical attractiveness.  Like the coin, it has two sides, good and bad.

women worked only for family stuff  in old days, but they work in public now. that's the difference.

Sure, Chinese women have a lot more social and economic freedom than they used to. Though they may face more discrimination as/if the gender balance continues to grow - problems over human trafficking, kidnapping, etc.
