As we know, there are five fundamental flavors: sweet, sour, bitter, hot, and salty. Any one of these tastes may dominate in a certain region in China: Salty Xinjiang, Sour Shanxi, Sweet Jiangsu&am ...

I met someone who says from Hubei!!!

Now i know how they like HOT Spicy Sichuan La-Mian available here!!!

I don't think Zehjiang is sweet at all.  I think it's more salty/vinegar.

Well, but Shanghai (near Jiangsu &Zhejiang) food is normally sweet
