I am reposting this since some people have turned the previous thread into something rather disrespectful.

23 Chinese people died at Morecombe Bay in the UK, in 2004.

You can read a bit about it here:
http://english.people.com.cn/200403/25/eng20040325_138513.shtml

http://www.ghosts.uk.com is the website setup for the film "Ghosts" which is a "documentary-style" account of what happened in Morecombe Bay.

Remember the victims of the Morecombe Bay tragedy and help their families if you can. If you want to donate then fine. If you want to help by another way, then that is fine. How about educating people to stop them seeking a new life (in any country) using methods provided by criminal gangs?

The Morecambe Bay Victims Fund and the film have been discussed in a number of new articles: http://www.newstatesman.com/200611060018 is just one example.

The fund was setup by Nick Broomfield, Jez Lewis and Hsiao-Hung Pai. You can Google each of these names to find out more about the credibility of each of these people. Nick Broomfield is the director of Ghosts and this is his website: http://www.nickbroomfield.com/home.html. The fund is deposited at C. Hoare & Co a private bank.

Is this thread about asking you to donate? You can donate if you wish, however nobody should forget what happened in Morecombe Bay, or WHY it happened. 23 people died and hopefully such a tragedy can be avoided in the future.

I think it's a pointless exercise, tmphgt.

You've posted information which clearly demonstrates the compassion various people in Britain feel for the families of those who died due to the greed of the snakeheads and slavedrivers who exploit their desperate countrymen.
It seems to me that the families of these victims will get more help and compassion from ordinary Britons than from the "pro China" lobby in this forum.
This is despite the fact that the Chinese government itself appears to recognise the help which Britain has offered and the invitation for Chinese police to visit Britain to investigate this tragedy.
