Even the Americans Are Worried About Japan

Quite a number of  Americans are worried about the recent resurgence of militarism in Japan.

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/HH25Ak02.html

The timing of the Nanjing Massacre movie is part of the American efforts to remind the world, and remind the American public, how dangerous Japan really is, as a nation of intolerant and selfish hentais who think only of themselves.

tongluren,

I have nothing against the movie, but we need to remind ourselves that a movie is a movie and Hollywood is for entertainment business and money-making after all. Hopefully, the story is enjoyable and the movie will turn out to be a success.

chinese_yang,

Sure, bring it on. After all it is a past event in remote history.  Sensationlism does not last long.

But Chinese criminals to-be are different. They are still at large, waiting to be captured and executed when the re gime is challenged. It is about time.

Whampoa. Prove? Where? On here? Where we aren't allowed to present the material? We've been through this a few times already.
Anyway, the movie is similar to making Schindlers list etc. Why not? Historic events from the view of one people (usually victim) are often the most telling. Let's try to keep an open mind on this.

Just say you have no evidence and don’t give us the crap.

"Schindlers list”, “Historic events”, victims’ views?

Yes, that part of our Chinese History which the world has not heard and been sadly deprived of for so long, decades of silence and under-representation.

"from the view of one people (usually victim) are often the most telling”

Like the Nazi holocaust, huh?  I wonder if all those movies I watched about the Nazi holocaust were ever versions from the pro-Nazis or do they all come from the persecuted Jews?  How nice if we were to watch the version from the pro-Nazis giving praise to Hitler?

Jews, on the other hand, are very smart people.  By coming forward to TELL their plight as victims to the world and EXPOSING the Nazi’s atrocities, they made the West agree to make it illegal and to make it a crime anyone who deny Hit;er’s “atrocities”, and never will it happen again (the Jews make sure) and never pray or pay homage to the criminals who commit those brutal crimes on the Jews.

The Chinese will have to make their stories heard for the sake of those pitiable victims, those who have been brutally raped, murdered and butchered and those who continue to live to never forget their horrific experience.

******

The Japanese brutalities are so extreme that they are beyond the imagination any living human, except themselves perhaps.  Even the younger Japanese confessed in this Forum how their grandfathers suffered serious depression in the latter part of their lives after the awakening of their conscience.

CRUTELYT IS CRUTELY, BRUTALITY IS BRUTALITY and how the Japanese waged that WAR was really, really CRUEL and BRUTAL, many times worse than the Nazis!  So, the Jews were really quite lucky, don't you think so?

So, tekvicious, who really are you to speak here?  SHUT YOUR BIG MOUTH, you type of Americans really are a foul-mouthed lot!!!

*****

On the villian’s version?  Here, I will give one ….

Looking back on his experience, he wrote: “We made them like this. Good sons, good daddies, good elder brothers at home were brought to the front to kill each other. Human beings turned into murdering demons. Everyone became a demon within 3 months.

Some Japanese soldiers admitted it was easy for them to kill because they had been taught that NEXT TO THE EMPEROR, all individual life – even their own – was VALUELESS.

Azuma Shiro, the Japanese soldier who witnessed a series of atrocities in Nanking, made an excellent point about his comrades’ behavior in his letter to me (Iris Chang). During his 2 years of military training in the 20th Infantry Regiment of Kyoto-fu Fukuchi-yama, he was taught that “LOYALTY IS HEAVIER THAN A MOUNTAIN, and our life is lighter than a feather.”

He recalled that the highest honor a soldier could achieve during war was to come back dead: to die for the emperor was the greatest glory, to be caught alive by the enemy the greatest shame. “If my life was not important,” Azuma wrote to me, “an enemy’s life became inevitably much less important. …. This philosophy led us to LOOK DOWN on the enemy and eventually to the MASS MURDER and ILL TREATMENT of the captives.”

In interview after interview, Japanese veterans from the Nanking massacres reported honestly that they experienced a complete lack of remorse or sense of wrongdoing, EVEN WHEN TORTURING HELPLESS CIVILIANS. Nagatomi Hakudo spoke candidly about his emotions in the fallen capital –

>>> I remember being driven in a truck along a path that had been cleared through PILES OF THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF SLAUGHTERED BODIES. Wild dogs were gnawing at the dead flesh as we stopped and pulled a group of Chinese prisoners out of the back (of the truck).

Then the Japanese officer proposed a test of my courage. He unsheathed his sword, spat on it and with a sudden mighty swing he brought it down on the neck of a Chinese boy cowering before us. THE HEAD WAS CUT CLEAN OFF and tumbled away on the group as the body slumped forward, blood spurting in two great gushing fountains from the neck. The officer suggested I take the head home as a sourvenir. I remember smiling proudly as I took his sword and began killing people. <<<<

After almost 60 years of soul-searching, Nagatomi is a changed man. A doctor in Japan, he has built a SHRINE OF REMORSE in his waiting room. Patients can watch videotapes of his trial in Nanking and a full confession of his crimes.

The gentle and hospitable demeanor of the doctor belies the horror of his past, making it almost impossible for one to imagine that he had once been a ruthless murderer.

"Few know that soldiers impaled babies on bayonets and tossed them still alive into pots of boiling water,” Nagatomi said. They gang-raped women from the ages of 12 to 80 and then killed them when they could no longer satisfy sexual requirements. I beheaded people, starved them to death, burned them and buried them alive, over two hundred in all. It is terrible that I could turn into an animal and do these things. There are really no words to explain what I was doing. I was truly a devil.”

You are "out of your mind" Mr. Soudenjapan!!!!!

The "murderous reign of the Nippon Imperial army" is horrific.
My parents used to tell me (when i was small) on how "evil" the Japanese imperial army.
The Japs murdered without mercy....by chopping off heads of many many Chinese people.

and apparently this "severed heads" were hung on post along the streets.
the spectacle of "barbarism" has never been seen before in China since a very long long time...

Nothing can beat the horrific "cruelty" of the Japanese Imperial Army.

You are CRAZY to even try to defend the militarist.
I think we have been to NICE to you Mr. Souden......
come on, have some decency!!!!

THAT WAS GOOD!
