Obviously you people can't gimme good advice then...ahhahaha

Well since I tend to sort out my own PC problems and believe me have gone through hell... Here's what I have ended up with....  Web browser: Mozilla firefox, and depending onw which websites, I sometimes use internet explorer...

I use Internet download manager to download everything (rate of downloading is up to 500% faster), I used "ares" p2p file-sharing program but now I've switched to limewire for videos(when I get bored) or music... I'm too old for porn-ehe

Yeah, the basic rules or maintenance for me? Clear caches, temporary files, once a month (found out once a week was too often), Use a good registry cleaner/repair, and for now, I'm using Panda platinum internet security(which some people laughed at and ended up switching to that anyway... Norton is shit)... Then again, we all have our own preferences!!!

Cheerz

They still see the old one. For you BTW right now, I am seeing a blank outline with one of those little red X's in the corner, last night too. When did you change yours?

i forgot, i think i changed it yesterday..

if they still see ur old one, tell them follow these steps:
Control Panel -> Internet Options -> In the "temporary internet files", there's a button saying "delete files", click on it (its gonna take a while, they may want to delete the cookies as well, although cookies shouldnt matter)

Webmail to your HQ’s server only provides a window onto your mailbox but if webmail allows you to send to recipients outside your local SMTP domain then I suspect that something is not set correctly in your local client

the webmail server that simba uses is gmail i think. that's why he can send emails to the outside of his domain via webmail.

Ah ...

Thanks!

I am confused (haha) as to the exact nature of his config ... I am sure (like most IT issues) it would be very easy to fix in person

Time for some guitar since I found a spare power supply today ... My POD and my firewall use the same power block so I got two new ones!

Hmm ...

The POD fires up but no sound ... Perhaps the power supply isn't quite right
