on and on

Hey "flotsam", maybe just maybe you should have listened to some of those "professors" of yours instead of
just sitting there in your personal glorification and just maybe by osmosis you might have learned something
other than just "thinking" of how much better you are than them.  Of course the United States doesn't have
true democracy!  No country does!  True democracy is an absolute, an ideal the same as "free and fair
elections".  The point is (to all you apologists) that the United States, without a doubt, has one of the closest
models in the world to what people with brains would consider to be a true democracy.  It also has one of the
most "free and fair" election systems in this world also.  Of course this is really hard to fathom in a country
that allows no elections whatsoever.and those of you who can't are to be forgiven (not by me) for your
ignorance.

flotsam and overkill: what kind of election people really want?

do we rather have the knowledgeable and fairminded people to do the electing, or leave the chance to the mass public?  do we really want the circus that we called campaign, which hitler invented, to divide up people with different interests during peace time and mob'lize them for war?

chou en lai was one time asked what he thinks of the french revolution.  he answered that history has to wait to tell.  let me answer for him now: both the american and the french revolutions were the two most de-evolutionary incidents in recent history.

Do not talk about democracy,it's nothing toward the power. The fact is, i can stand the despotism ot the party, but i can't stand they claimed that they are insisting democracy.Democracy is not  perfect ,and despotism is not so bad.If there is a great leader,i think despotism is better than democracy.

Well that's lovely. Except that given how selfish and greedy human beings are, you are going to have a "great leader" once every couple of centuries or so. And even then the lack of accountability makes it virtually impossible to be sure that they understand what's going on anyway.

No system of government is perfect, because we are not perfect. But democracy is by far the least worst of all the systems.

"It is widely accepted that a benevolent dictatorship is the best form of government."

Widely accepted by whom? You and the little voices in your head?

The Form Of Government is NOT the GOAL

Democracy, whether the Greek kind (which was built upon having a few free men living above a huge slave population), or the liars' contest kind in the West today, is NOT the goal and cannot be the goal of any government.  The meausre of a government's success has to be whether the lives of the people are being improved, year after year.  In China that is exactly what is happening.
