That is to say, an average Chinese worker in his position in cities and towns make around $2 280 per year. If an urban family has 3.5 persons and two of them are working, then an average city dweller made  $1334.2 for a year. If we take $800 for GDP per capita as a "well-off" criterion, or $800 for average income per capita as a "well-off" criterion, we city dwellers are very "well-off".

The large proportion of the population is rural, and these people make much less money in a year. So I am not sure whether they have reached such a stutus of $800 per capita in either case.

So, "to build a well-off society in an all-round way" is still a burning task before us.

Thieves and robbers come for to kill, for to rob, and for to deprive. But I am come for you to live, and for you to live abundantly. (John 10:10)

Here, "to live abundantly" is a status better than "to live a well-off life". In this sense, our "well-off" stage is primary stage while "to live abundantly" is the developed form of life. Is the communism described by Karl Marx? Karl Marx was religion-believer, for sure.
