Let me help you rephrase your incomplete sentence.
"every American soldier killed in Vietnam a thousand Vietnamese (including civilians were killed). Is that suppose to be some kind of bragging right or accomplishment?? Soldiers with guns and napalm versus rural residence...nice! I wonder who is going to win in that fight?? If America can't even take care of Iraq today they could of never sweeped through China yesterday. (Advancement in technology should make it easier right??)

Let's be realistic~

War was conventional back then

As much as the media is filled with news of car bombings usually from the Arab news that's state controlled and should be a target for the US millitary.
The US still defeated Iraq in two weeks. China did not have the air power and armament at the time to pose any real problem for America.

do not be so proud Mr. "Froth-in-mouth"
Iraq battle was easy......
more than 10years of economic sanctions...
broken people, poor health....
unrepairable weapon assets due to no spare parts....
high unemployment and a people dependent on socialist system.....
low morale and divided people.......
no money..........

and small land area....small population...tired people.....
quite different from a VICTORIOUS CCP, post liberation....ha ha ha

mr. Froth-in-mouth....you are outclassed by Mr. Fish.....

America had no clear vision in Vietnam

It was a ridiculous police mission and by the way for every American killed in Vietnam a thousand Vietnamese were killed.

Wait a minute! You mean the US' mission was to kill as many Vietnamese as possible? And you dare call that civilized? No wonder half the Vietnamese population rose up against the US!

I'm not denying US technical superiority; but I must say that when it comes to military philosophy, the Chinese are leaps and bounds ahead of the US.

Of course it would have been risky to invade China

I know that But with Macarthur's track record i would put my money on him and the Superior US military. Wars are not won without some risk. And that was not a stupid promise .All things MacArthur did had a millitary strategy behind it.
