Her income _______ what  she had two years ago.
You fill in the blank with the proper form of the verb "double" . I think I should fill in the blank with "is doubled", but sometimes I find the sentence like " Her income has doubled over these years.  So I think that maybe "doubled" is also acceptable. But I know it is someone who doubles one's income, not something. For the first one , if I choose "is doubled", I feel the sentence is not correct ,either. How can I explain  the part of speech of " what she had two years ago" in this sentence? Many thanks if you can offer help.

她的工资与两年前相比已经涨了两倍。“已经”非常顺口啊。“has doubled" sounds good to me.
