Thanks dear Mirthful for your continuous contribution to the love thread.

We are all enjoying the nice songs and poems here.

To Waibeijing:-)
the few lines you post remind me of a similar Chinese song called 'The Most Romantic Life'. i will post its lines later here, simple and touching:)

I hope you can read the beautiful Chinese words

The following is my poor try.Correct me if i misunderstand the nice words

The Most Romantic life
by
Zhao Yonghua

We sit on the carpet, back to back
chatting about our dreams
while enjoying  music
you want me to be more gentle,
and I hope to be the apple of your eye

you thank me for leading you into the Garden
and want to fulfill my romantic dream
even if it takes a whole life
you will try to make it if I tell it to you

The most romantic life I can imagine
Is to grow old with you gradually
I will collect all the laughter we share
Taste it in the later of life
In the rocking chair

The most romantic life I can imagine
Is to grow old with you gradually
Till we are too old to travel around
You still treasure me
As the apple of your eye

A gentle song (but not too trivial,I hope)

Skylark

Words by Johnny Mercer, music by Hoagy Carmichael

As recorded by the Glenn Miller Orchestra on January 8th 1942 with Ray Eberle.

Skylark, have you anything to say to me,
Won’t you tell me where my love can be?
Is there a meadow in the mist
Where someone’s waiting to be kissed?

Skylark, have you seen a valley green with spring
Where my heart can go a-journeying
Over the shadows and the rain to a blossom-covered lane?

And in your lonely flight haven’t you heard the music of the night?
Wonderful music, faint as a will-‘o-the-wisp, crazy as a loon,
Sad as a gypsy serenading the moon, oh...

Skylark, I don’t know if you can find these things,
But my heart is riding on your wings
So if you see them anywhere
Won’t you lead me there...

(crazy as a loon: n 1: a worthless lazy fellow 2: large somewhat primitive fish-eating diving bird of the northern hemisphere having webbed feet placed far back; related to the grebes [syn: diver] 3: a person with confused ideas; incapable of serious thought [syn: addle-head, addlehead, birdbrain])
