a remote control device based on a single chip circuit
We have completed design of the hardware and software of our remote control system, which includes the design of hardware circuits, communications interfaces and drives, and the manufacturing of emission and reception circuit boards, all based on a monolithic integrated circiut PIC16F84A. The benefit of using the PIC16F84A circuit is that we can switch functions of the circuit by simply reprogramming the circuit, thereby making it possible to control multiple devices with a single remote controller.|
This article includes the following sections: a brief description of the basic concepts of infrared remote control, the infrared emission circuit, the infrared reception circuit, the audio frequency power amplification circuit, and the introductions of the PIC16F84A circuit, the DAC0832 chip, and the HEF4511BP chip. Several aspects of the infrared remote control are discussed: the mechanisms, the design ideas, the considerations behind the use of the various chips-- their merits, and the problems encountered in the manufacturing of PCB (在PCB制作过程) and the solutions to these problems.
