The U.S. labeled China a Currency Manipulator, but what are the consequences?...

Uncle Sam would like to impose sweeping penalties against the Middle Kingdom, but with the trade war in full swing already...

As from Sept. 1st nearly every item from China will be subject to tariffs.  What else to do,  no rivers of tears showed up anywhere on the latest satellite reports...

Damn it, so much easier to big stick small Countries like Venezuela, Cuba or N/Korea...

Then again, nothing worked out in Iraq; Libya, Syria and Iran either.

Now what if China manipulate their currency? is there anything wrong with that, or is it only wrong for those pathetic americans who see they losing the trade war.

Biggest currency manipulator is the US. Can print currency any time.

Former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers criticized the Trump administration's decision to name China a currency manipulator. By ding so, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has damaged his credibility and that of his office...
If Chinese policies do not change, uncle Sam will have only demonstrated our impotence to China and the world.
In an interview with Bloomberg Television on Tuesday, Summers said,  "I don't think there was much justification"  in the Treasury's manipulator decision. "When you are propping up your currency, not running a trade surplus, you're not manipulating the currency on any definition that is understood and accepted in the financial community."
He said that China has been preventing its currency from sinking rather than pressing it lower.

Summers served as Treasury secretary in the Bill Clinton administration and as an economic adviser to former president Barack Obama.

New IMF report doesn’t back Donald Trump’s currency manipulation charge against China

Review shows Beijing actually took steps last year to prop up yuan after it declined against dollar between mid-June and early August...

The analysis came just four days after US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin made the surprising announcement that he had formally designated China as a currency manipulator under US law, a decision that was widely seen as ratcheting up the US-China trade war.

   Desperation is worse then cancer...

Let's hope the IMF quickly and summarily rejects Trump+Mnuchin's charge on China soon and before the next US elections. That charge is frivolous, vexatious and mischievous and the US should be sued by the international monetary community.
