Most people arriving late at the train station and having missed their train would count it as bad luck and wait for the next one.  But a Chinese lady refused to give up; she fought her way across the barrier, rushed at the train whose doors have already closed and about to move off, put her foot into the gap between the train and the platform to stop it going off!  She struggled with train officers, refused to move away, was finally carried off by officers. She said she had to catch that train to start work the next day.  Regardless, the station police locked her up for nine days as punishment for delaying the train and disrupting train schedules!  She not only lost her job but had to spend time in a police lockup!  A person with such a violent character does not deserve a job at all!

More violent cases involve women than men!  That says something about Chinese women's character; they can't accept a No!

China is still a country ruled by persons, not by rules or law, so it's no wonder many people don't believe there are anything absolute in China, anything can be negotiated, anything can be bought.
so it's a tradition in China that people despise the so-called "老实人” who are mostly introverted, easy going fellas, tend to follow rules or meet demands without questioning or fighting. people believe such persons don't know how to fight for favorable treatments, and can be easily taken advantage of.
people generally love to be friends with such fellas but regard them with contempt anyway, just like people hate those doing immoral things with their money or power, but would greet them with involuntary smile on their faces if they ever saw one.

Yesterday, a woman passenger got upset because HS train stewardess didn't give her a satifactory answer, slapped her on the face real hard till her nose bled, on the way out of train at the station. Passenger was arrested and now spending 5 days in police cell!

Btw, that passenger who slapped a stewardess happens to be a woman, adding to the long list of violent women in China!
