A boy may have reached a new repugnant low by urinating in elevator and causing the lift's control panel to short circuit, spewing a shower of sparks that frightened a building resident.

A video posted by the Red Star News on Wednesday shows a boy on an apartment elevator in South China's Guangdong Province turning to face a corner of the elevator and peeing on the call buttons and the locked door of the lift's control box.

The elevator's surveillance video next shows a woman stepping into the empty elevator just as sparks fly from a low light by the door and the control panel compartment. In a panic, she jumps off the lift located in an apartment complex in the city of Meizhou.

The boy's disgusting pee prank will cost the building's maintenance department 10,000 yuan ($1,456) to repair the elevator.

No one was hurt in the incident and media reports didn't indicate if the boy has been identified or punished. (Source: Global Times)

Overall China really needs to work on its humanity, social ettiquette and cultural refinement. Cultural refinement is important. Its not only common Chinese people with ignorant attitude like this, not to mention the appalling Chinese attitude when they step outside China. Even Chinese businessmen are too proud when engaging people outside China. Sooner or later the world will find that it can leave the 1.4 billion alone enclaved within their own border. Although China is about 20% global share but to have a peaceful uninterrupted livelihood, its good to keep the 1.4 billion inside their own borders. Not possible? China can try. Its about the will. If China thinks that this can't happen, then here is the start of China's decline before it has even rose.

The current administration has exhibited plenty of muscles in the trade war showdown, Taiwan tussle etc. but where is Chinese etiquette sophistication and intellect brilliancy? Even poorer countries have substantially higher personal attributes and disposition than the majority of the 1.4 billion. What's the point of having an unruly 1.4 billion heads?

The unappealing Chinese will put off people outside China including Chinese diaspora. When the word "Chinese" carries a negative human etiquette brand it will eventually deal a death blow to the Confucian society. For nothing China will lose another of its own good element.

Does one want to claim that Chinese are smart? Hard to tell. Japanese may be a pain to the Chinese, but to the world ex-China and ex-Korea they aren't such a pain. Japanese can easily outclass Chinese because of poor Chinese etiquette branding. Let's talk about cars' branding. Does one want to buy a Japanese marque or a Chinese marque ignoring brands like Volvo which is a Chinese owned European brand? 65% chances of buying goes to a Japanese marque. Companies like Nissan, Toyota and Honda can blend their social exquisite into their marques and then add foreign local flavours. For example in Europe, Japanese marques can carry out advertising themes reflecting Japan's refined daily social etiquette, which will include how gentle and polite they are in interaction and their social consciousness. When people goes to Japan that strikes a relation. And people may want such enduring notion. To some they may even buy to preserve that intangible. Chinese marques definitely cannot do that. Then the Japanese can add European professional flavour by associating the car's performance to it. The Chinese can't possibly compete this way. They only thing the Chinese have is an association to "lower production cost" or "low quality" just like their daily undertakings. This can be easily overcome too - just have to associate "low production cost" with "low cultural behavior". No one wants to be associated with a "low culture" thing, not even Africa. The recent Huawei fracas can be an advantage to those competing with China. Huawei boasted it had an alternative OS - but does it really have one? Let's wait and see.

Showing all its muscle, where is the Chinese wisdom? The common people needs to step up by themselves totally minus the political engineered process, which will be a grave social failure if the administration tried. Simple reason - politicians are also common people - think about it. Politically engineered will include public punishment imposed on misbehavior etc..

This teen must have learned it from adults around him since adults have often been seen doing that in public, by the highway, facing a wall, anywhere convenient to them!
