Carrie Lam was visibly bewildered. I have never seen her so angry on a TV news interview before.
She was on a hospital visit of police officers who had been badly beaten up by rioters inside a shopping mall in Sha tin.
Our poor front line cops were geared by their boss a 30cm long baton; the thugs armed themselves with meter long metal stalk umbrellas. It was a no contest.
I do believe Carrie Lam has woken up to her gentle, softly "guiding our youngster to the right course" policy is wrong, and her rubbish scripts are now heading for the dustbin.
Her weak approach to the violent thugs served to emboldened their lawlessness, and strengthened their no fear of the police.
I have urged her for over a month to untie the hands of our law enforcement officers, and to give them the full 100% "free of prosecution" support in dealing with the well organized violent thugs.
We need to crack thick skulls and make mass arrests to restore law and order in the city.
Do it Carrie Lam or Hong Kong will sink with you at the helm.
One of the front line police officer had two of his fingers bitten off by one of the rioters. These are not disgruntled youngsters. The are but deranged animals, and they must server a very long jail sentence.
Carrie Lam have given too much respect and attention fear of foreign opinions.
Her job is first and most to maintain Hong Kong a law abiding Chinese city. We cannot allow mob rule every damn weekend.
Last weekend, the MTR, roads and a number of rural towns were off limit to Hong Kong citizens because of mob rule.
Lam must instill the fear of law and order into the stupid head of these young thugs.
Return the power of the police force. Give them their meter long baton, and allow them to use them to enforce law and order when violence breaks out.
Alan Leong, the smug dog and chief agitator of the ongoing Hong Kong public disorder has openly advocating and support student violence at a HKU students meeting.
He quoted on TV news:
"....... violence is the solution to the problem."
Carrie Lam should pass on Alan Smug Leong's message to her clobbered and down heartened police force;
"Your hands are untied. Go do your job to restore law and order back to Hong Kong."
Come weekend, the roads will be blocked and the streets turned into battle grounds.
Predictably the riot police makes their presence felt. They stand in lines like stuffed dummies facing the mob armed with bricks, iron bars and powder chemical bombs.
This has been going on for two months and more.
How many arrests have riot police made so far? Fifty thugs perhaps over a period of eight weekends of lawless rioting.
In the meantime, twenty two police officers sustained serious injuries inflicted by the mobs last weekend. All officers required hospital treatment.
This is VERY POOR POLICING.
The blame naturally must fall on Carrie Lam.
The order fanned out to the police must have been:
"Disburse the illegal assemblies, but don't hurt them young darlings".
The result, the thug reassembled again, again and again. It becomes a game to them.
But Carrie Lam forgets these social unrest every weekend cost people's livelihood.
Businesses are forcesd to close on their busiest days. Rents cannot be paid. Employees are laid off.
It had to happened as I have said it would....
Last night in Yuen Long, frustrated citizens did the work the Hong Kong riot police REFUSED to carried out.
They clobbered a train load of the violent black-clad China hating thugs returning from their now regular weekend HK people's rice bowl breaking marches.
They did as Alan Leong had advices early in the week; "sometimes violence may be the solution".
Last Sunday 21/07, mobs damaged and defaced to China Liaison Office!! Things are getting out of control now! Police must get tough! Those rioters are emboldened by the softly softly approach of the HK Police!
