US operates the single largest international spy agency. Unfortunately, the so called Free World Bloc not only accepts but deems its practice is to protect the weak from the strong; which in reality is controlling the weak to point of no retailiation but submit willingly without demand.

The Free World Bloc pledges its willingness to go against any nation that steps out of line!

Ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu was certainly not wrong when he said there is no place where espionage is not possible...

And Hong Kong would be the hotbed for Western spies...

When the Prince of Wales Building in Central was handed to the People’s Liberation Army it was discovered that the entire building was bugged...

Chinese intelligence officials are reported to have discovered more than 20 spying devices in a Boeing 767 purchased from the United States for use by the President of China.    The plane was built at the Boeing factory in Seattle and outfitted at a company in Texas...

American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the largest American Chambers outside the US...

True. That is why even after so many years after Hong Kong is returned to mainland China, there are still "pro-democracy" groups trying to challenge and misinterprete the Basic Law and trying to make HK independent. HK is a convenient place to set up HQ for such espionage and it would be haven for these spies if HK is an independent country where they can easily escape to and take refuge when they get into trouble in the mainland.

In my opinion, they're not banning HW.

Trying to give them a hard time...

HW should and would never believe in uncle Sam again...

Get the hell of it out of there, regardless of cost...

Appears HW has never reckoned on Uncle Sam being reasonable, and that's why HW has battened down the hatches years before launching it own research in chips...
Believe it or not, it's true.
