Former ousted US President Richard Nixon wrote, 'People in The Third World are full in their ears during the day but empty in their stomaches when they go to sleep during the night'. US President Trump is doing it to US auto workers. His promise of taking back all US auto factories from China turned out with auto plants in US closed and more laid off. He delivered his promise and won his presidency but did not know that his White House Economic Advisor Navarno was destroying US economy quicker than expected! WHAT A GREAT MAN HE IS! CHEERS!

China is helping him to win by buying soybeans in quantities beyond his fondest dream of avarice.
"China is helping him to win by buying soybeans in quantities beyond his fondest dream of avarice."
Trump used dirty tricks to twist the arms of Chinese leaders, forcing them to cave in and buy more soya beans from the suffering US farmers, his supporters! China should refuse to budge, hold out till Trump is gone in 2020 or before. Trump is at most a one-term president!

The US is doing fine. Those products you talk about aren't only produced in China, but also in Vietnam, Malaysia, Phillipines, and the like. Markets shift. That's why China has been stealing IP, because by hook or by crook they want to move up the food chain. The US doesn't mind China moving up as long as it's not done by crook (i.e. stealing IP).

The US is on pins and needles watching China's rise in the hi-tech realm, and that's why it latches onto the IP card in an attempt to contain China's advancement, which is doomed to fail. You know why?
Because the US historically stole equipment, talents, technology from the UK and continental European countries to aid its industrialization drive, doesn't necessarily mean every country would go down the same path in its rise to global prominence. You think too highly of yourself, and your laughable IP.
