I'd rather have drug smugglers, than religious fanatics with nuclear weapons. So if you'd be kind enogh to advise Huawei to have business with drug dealers the next time. There's plenty in China's neighbourhood, barely need to leave the country.

Robert Schellenberg: What we know about his case so far

Two other Chinese men were sentenced in the case - one was given life imprisonment, while another was handed a suspended death sentence.

If you think a Canadian life is worth more than a Chinese life, you are dead wrong; the law is ver ...

Answer these questions, please ...

1) Schellenburg was first arrested in 2014. His first trial for drug-smuggling did not take place until 2017. Drug-smuggling trials in China habitually take place with 5 weeks of arrest. Why did it take the courts nearly 4 years to put this man on trial?

2) The prosecution appealed his sentence of 15 years imprisonment, saying it was too lenient. Under Chinese law, a sentence can only be made more severe if new information is presented by the prosecution. According to Schellenburg's defence attorney, the prosecution did not introduce any new evidence. They used the same evidence that they presented in his first trial. Why, if there was no new evidence, was his sentence made more severe?

3) As stated above, it took almost 4 years for his case to come to the courts, and lasted for several days. Why did his second trial only last one day?

4) It is rare for reporters, both foreign and Chinese, to attend trials, however foreign journalists were invited, some even say begged, to attend this trial. Why, if not to showcase it, and unconsciously link it to the Meng case? China has already threatened "severe repercussions" if Meng was deported. Why showcase this trial after waiting nearly 4 years to bring it to court?

He has a long history of drug trafficking, had been sentenced in Canada, and the judge warned him he was lucky he committed the offence in Canada which has no death penalty, warned him to learn a lesson, but he persisted, and this time re-offended in China where the law applies death penalty to drug smugglers caught with more han 10 gms of meth; he was caught with 224 Kg of meth!  Go plead for him, if you can!!

Your politicians ALREADY did do the bidding of your nextdoor neighbor to arrest a Chinese citizen who has never commited any offence in Canada, in complicity with US,  interfering with the judicial system there when Pres Trump said he could use Meng as trade bargaining chip!
