"Otherwise it is equivalent to a declaration of war against us" That's a big call. So your country seeks to declare war over the detention of a single citizen. This must be the biggest loss of face in human history.

tenderloin may be undercooked from time to time, and his English may not be the best in the world, ...
so shameless as to threaten PRC with switching recognition to Taiwan.

This tenderloin character clearly suggested that China would be breaking diplomatic ties with Canada, so what's there left to do?

If PRC won't have relations with a country anyway, what is there to lose by making the relations with some other entity? It is not the "One China" that any foreign countries have problems with, only the part you represent.

If PRC refuses to represent the One China toward some country,  it'll be PRC's loss.

If handled correctly and America is made to recognize the rights of all Chinese citizens to transit to third countries unharmed, then there is hope

This case is no different from some Chinese national being arrested in a foreign country on China's request, and then be extradited to China for alleged crimes conducted in China.

What you are preaching for is to break this international code of conduct, which will also make so much more difficult for China to get it's own economic fugitives back home for sentencing.

What you should be preaching, is to maintain this police co-operation, and instead turn your eyes from Canada to USA, and the legal case they have there against Meng. And importantly your eyes first, and open the loud mouth once you understand the case.

You are barking the wrong tree, and that will only hurt China in larger picture.

Even if Canada notes that US has not produced sufficient evidence to warrant extradition, or US court later releases Meng as innocent, the outpour of criticims against the international order from China has already done the damage that was expected.

The Chinese mob here is serving US interests, whether Meng is found guilty or not.

China will break diplomatic tie with Canada. Possibly ready to Nuke Vancouver,

China will arrest Ratheon and Boeing officials in CHina for breaking Chinese laws of selling weapons to Taiwan.

End of Story,

you told us you're not a native English speaker, but you reside in the States

    No I don't.

Lying like your pants are on fire, Mister.  Your IP shows that you are in the States.

why are you rejoicing over the possibility that Huawei might have some difficulty in getting Anglo nations to adopt the 5G platform, as is evidenced by your "bye-bye" comment above?

I have no problem with Huawei taking market share in the west, proided that they indeed do not report to the Chinese government as much as is alleged (by US in particular). But you yourself are preaching that Huawei is strongly backed that very government, so it is you who is causing the "bye-bye".

The Industrial Military Complex of America (MIC), Inc. has over a thousand businesses and enterprises that have connections to the American government.  Trump used that as his excuse not to pursue the murder case of Saudi Arabian journalist Kashoggi who contributed to Washington Post.  Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, etc. etc. all depend on orders from the U.S. government for survival.  So the words 'dependence' or 'independence' have absolutely nothing to do with whether the country's political system is Chinese or American, but has everything to do with the government-military liaison which is the strongest in America, giving it the incentive to start, sustain or spread wars all over the world, making it the evil root of all instability of our world today.

You are just one of the special agents WORKING in these forums to spread their lies.

What I am hoping for, is that your kind would shut up so that wouldn't happen.

You and your kind should leave our forum pronto!

That won't be the end of story obviously.

I guess we've established here what led to the century of humiliation for China the first time around.

Knowing when to fight and when not to.

No you don't. What led to century of humiliation of china is the Manchu is more keen on keeping the hans underneath rather then truely fight the western imperialists.

if Mao was in charge during that time, Chinese forces will use guerilla war tactics t wipe out western imperialist forces despite having less capable weapons.  Guerilla warfares to attack western forces during night time and they don't have night vision goggles at that times.
